Scarves, Scarves, Everywhere

     In the past couple of years scarves have become ever more available due to their growing popularity in the fashion world. First it was only in winter, but now you can find great scarves that can be used as Hijabs, all year round! Here's some really cute ones I found from a variety of stores like WetSeal, Old Navy, and H&M. They ranged in price from $7 to $30.

Long and Loose is In!!

This is something I've noticed a lot of recently. Long cardigans, sweaters and vests that can make almost any outfit "Muslima Friendly." They come in a variety of styles and make a great staple to any wardrobe. Many of them have crochet accents that allows you to dress up your outfit. What makes them perfect is their loose fit and length in the back that allows you to throw them over a tank-top or shirt that would be too short alone. The best part is they are totally affordable! At stores like forever21, Charlotte Russe, or WetSeal they range anywhere from $15-$40.

Outfit 4

Here's a cute outfit that I discovered while browsing forever21.com. I was inspired by the tunic and built the outfit around it. It's both modest and pretty, great for dressy-casual. The whole outfit (not including flats) cost around $60.

The Maxi Dress

I have made a recent discovery that is very exciting. The "maxi dress". They were first created in the 1960s when they had the polars of fashion the mini skirts and the maxi dresses. They have recently made a reappearance in today's fashion which I find very exciting. It shows the ever closer move towards modesty in clothing for women! I wanted to put together an inexpensive outfit to demonstrate how a maxi dress could be worn Islamically. This outfit would be a great summer outfit because it is both light and rather "airy". The entire outfit was approximately $50! Once again all the pieces are great to pair with other outfits! The dress, shirt, and scarf were all found at forever21 and the gladiator sandals for found at Wetseal.

A really popular look these days is the tunic. They can be worn as both a dress or a shirt. Personally I think they're too short as a dress and for our purposes I feel they make perfect shirts. They are usually loose fitting, "flowy" shirts that fall anywhere from lower thigh to below the knees. They can then be paired with loose fitting pants for a very cute AND modest look!! I decided to dedicate today's blog to affordable tunics :) These were all found at www.Wetseal.com

Autumn Leaves

This one was inspired by fall, especially the blouse. It would be worn as professional or dressy depending on which shoes you chose. The estimated total cost of this outfit was around $74.76! Snow Queen
